Sharon Sehdev is in the role of Director of Client Services at Cognition, a new breed of law firm that provides an ideal alternative to traditional legal service providers. Cognition’s unique model offers start-ups senior, business-minded legal advice at affordable rates and with flexible arrangements. Cognition’s growing team of 31 lawyers have at least 8 years post call experience, and a valuable blend of top private practice training and in house experience. By vigilantly maintaining a low overhead cost structure, Cognition can provide high level legal advice at rates that are less than half of those charged by traditional legal providers. Cognition’s lawyers often work on-site with clients to get a better understanding of their businesses and allow for a more pro-active legal role.
Over the last two years, Sharon’s mandate has been to raise awareness on the firm and build relationships with the business community. She has made herself known in the start-up scene and developed relationships with top tier clients in the technology sector. An avid networker, some of the clients she has worked with include I Love Rewards, Intertainment and Redknee.
Prior to Cognition, Sharon worked at Pricewaterhouse Coopers and brings over ten years of marketing, business development and consulting experience. She also spent five years in various business development and consulting positions in the human resources consulting industry, providing services to Fortune 500 companies in Canada and the US. Sharon has a BA (Honours) from the University of Western Ontario.
